There is a growing recognition across the Oil & Gas Industry on the need to manage Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) in an increasingly organised and responsible manner. This approach has been amply demonstrated by LTV to improve Safety Standards and reassure all its Stakeholders such as the Customers, Regulatory Bodies and the General Public, thereby maintaining reputation of LTV as a Good Responsible Corporate Citizen.

The Social and Moral safety imperatives to achieve improved performance are also reinforced by commercial interests since there is an increasing realisation that shortfall in safety cause a great deal of Financial and Human loss.

Commitment

Organization

LTV is fully responsible, through its Staff, for all the HSE aspects of any Project it undertakes for the work to be carried out from its Bangalore Home office.

Towards Employees

  • Inculcate positive work culture on HSE among its employees
  • Induct training to new entrants on their job and in office safety
  • Regular training / Retraining is imparted for all the personnel working on various Projects

Towards Customer

  • When either Customer or Licensor provides the Process Design
  • When others are responsible for the provision of facilities which are not in LTV scope
  • When others are responsible for the tie-ins to existing plant equipment or services

Chief Executive

  • Committed to encourage HSE activities
  • Authorizes and signs HSE Policy and reviews the same annually
  • Allocate funds to support HSE Plans and Programs
  • Allocate detailed responsibilities to Functional Heads to effectively carry out HSE awareness to LTV employees

Capability

An outcome from an Engineering Design Exercise is often a System/ Design that is adequate and fit for purpose since it complies with all relevant Engineering Codes and Standards. However, this does not necessarily translate into the Optimum Design from a commercial point of view.

Value-Added Engineering (VAE) seeks to complement the Design by reviewing the components in the HSE system and recommending alternatives and/or substitutions that provide greater commercial feasibility without compromising the Engineering requirements related to the System.

LTV offers various services on its own and in association with external agencies
